Dr. Sangeeta Vengsarkar Shah, MVSc (Med)
Dr. Sangeeta is a pioneer in Small Animal Cardiology and has been in small animal practice since 1987. She is a pioneer in small animal cardiology and is the first small animal Cardiologist in India. She did her thesis on ‘Diagnosis of heart disease in Canines’. After completing her Masters in Medicine from Bombay Veterinary College in 1988 she worked as an observer at Cardiopet (founded by Dr. Larry Tilley), New York, at the Department of Cardiology, University of Knoxville, Tennessee, and at the University of Pennsylvania in 1992. She founded the Small Animal Cardiac Centre in SPCA in 1993. She is a speaker in small animal Cardiology at several
regional, national, and international conferences.
Dr. Sangeeta is accompanied on clinic rounds by her shadows, weimaraners Carlos and Chelsea. She loves being busy with patients, enjoys mid-day chats with pet-parents over chai and looks forward to the occasional day away in Alibaug for some quiet and greenery.
Dr. Sangeeta has mentored and guided several veterinary students in her clinic, some of whom are prominent practicing vets today.

Dr. Abhi Kardani.
He is a benevolent veterinarian who pursued his bachelor and master in Veterinary Gynaecology and Obstetrics from Navsari Veterinary College. Shortly after completing education, he began to consider gaining practical experience for better well being of beloved pets. You will find him reading and travelling during his free time.

Dr. Sunil Shant Bhagannavar
He completed his Bachelor’s degree at Veterinary College Hassan in 2019, thereafter he pursued his Master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine from KNP Veterinary College Shirwal Satara,2023. Dr. Sunil is a highly skilful and self motivated
veterinarian, utilising his skills in diagnosing a diverse range of disease conditions and is well experienced in safeguarding animal health. In his free time he likes to draw and take walks along the beach.
Dr. Prajakta Charde, MVSc (surgery)
Dr. Prajakta has been practicing since completing her Masters in Veterinary Surgery in 2013.
She has experience treating small animals as well as exotic pets. She has also been part of spay-neuter programs for canines with NGOs. She is trained and experienced in conducting soft tissue surgeries in cats, dogs, and birds.
Travelling and exploring new places are Dr. Prajakta’s free-time-plans. She is passionate about her profession and is very fond of animals.

Dr Pamela Jane Pereira
She has been volunteering in NGOs since her firstyear of undergraduate. She completed her bachelor’s in veterinary
science from Mumbai Veterinary College. She has experience in treating small animals as well as urban wildlife. She has been a part of spay neuter programs for canine and felines with the World Veterinary Services. Her areas of interest include small animal and avian soft tissue surgery, anaesthesia and internal medicine.

Sunaina Sundaram
She is our animal behaviourist. She is a veterinary assistant and has completed her training with the World Veterinary Services. She has graduated from St Xaviers College, Mumbai with a double major in Psychology and Anthropology. She has completed an animal behaviour course offered by the University of Edinburgh and plans to pursue an MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour. Her areas of interest include neurology, physiology, psychology, cognition and behaviour.
When she is not at the clinic, you can find her spending time with her beagle Bailey and 6 rescue cats.

Dr Mitali Bhambhani
She is a compassionate veterinarian who earned her bachelor’s degree from Nagpur Veterinary College, and pursued her master’s in Veterinary Preventive Medicine from Madras Veterinary College. Soon after completing her education, she went on to gain practical experience and committed herself to providing quality healthcare to beloved pets as well as exotic species. When she’s not working, you would often find her reading fiction, dancing or traveling and exploring different places and cultures.
VISITING DOCTORS
● Dr. H.G. Ghanwat
Dr H. G. Ghanwat completed M. V. Sc. ( Surgery) in September 1993.
After completing this course he worked at Osmanabad and Latur district of
Maharashtra for the treatment of earthquake affected animals.
Since October 1993 he has been associated as VETERINARY SURGEON in various animal welfare organizations in Maharashtra like IDA, WSD and Ahimsa Amongst others.
Dr. Ghanwat holds a record for doing 226143 surgeries at the above centres.
His surgical work includes not only Animal Birth Control surgeries such as
orchiectomy, and ovariohysterectomy but also clinical surgeries such as amputations of limb, tail, digits, ear pinnas, and scrotum; removal of tumours and veneral granulomas; ear hematoma and aural resection; extirpation of eye ball; cystotomy and enterotomy for removal of stones and foreign bodies; hernia correction; reconstruction surgeries for vaginal and rectal prolapse; episiotomy and colpectomy for removal of tumours and veneral granulomas; splenectomy; intestinal anastomosis.
His hobbies are swimming, cycling and jogging.
● Dr. Sanjana Karve, Orthopaedic surgeon
Dr. Sanjana is a qualified veterinary surgeon with special interest in orthopaedic surgery with certificates in the diagnosis and treatment of lameness in dogs, practical orthopaedic surgical techniques and small animal fracture management. Among her other veterinary qualifications, she is equipped to provide an expert opinion with regards to your pets orthopaedic problems.
She visits our Shivaji Park clinic once a week for consultations.
● Dr. Dhananjay Pandit
Dr. Pandit is a certified Pet Nutrition Coach. A Veterinarian by profession, he specialises in food hygiene and is well versed with formulation and manufacture of dry and moist dog and cat food. He also has a special interest in gut health and palatability, and has successfully guided many pet parents for formulating the best diet for dealing with issues like obesity, sensitive skin, kidney disorders, heart ailments, renal and urinary stones among others.
VETERINARY ASSISTANTS & OTHER STAFF
● Shraddha Uthale
Shraddha is the smiling face that greets the visitors at Urban Pet Centre, Kemps Corner. Her efficiency, lively attitude and impish smile are the perfect start to consults at the clinic.
She loves animals, children and is a foodie. She enjoys playing with her 5-year-old daughter and travelling in her spare time.
● Anushree Hurde
Anushree has been with the Pawsitive Wellness Centre since 2008. She started as a groomer and won over the affection of many pets and their owners with her gentle handling.
She is now in charge of administrative jobs, including billing and appointment scheduling. Her reassuring smile and composure makes her a favourite with clients.
She likes to cook and listen to music in her spare time.
● Shanti Nishad.
Shanti is the first person you’ll encounter if you visit the Animal Cancer Clinic, Juhu. Her dedication to her job and animals makes her a go-to person for pets and pet-parents alike.
She is responsible for appointment scheduling, handling the reception and inventory among other things at the clinic.
She loves listening to music and spending time with her family, human and animal, in her spare time.
● Vasant Mohite
Vasant ‘Mama’ has been working as a pet attendant since 2001. He handles administration of oral medication, anal gland expression, pet baths, and wound dressing with great efficiency, making absolutely certain that the pet and pet-parent are comfortable. He is very soft-spoken with a great sense of humour, and therefore popular with pet parents.
Vasant has an active interest in cooking, gardening, and handyman jobs, like plumbing and electrical fittings. He loves singing bhajans and can be heard humming to himself in his spare time.
● Manish Solanki
Manish Solanki is a very competent and compassionate Veterinary Assistant serving at the Animal Cancer Clinic, Urban Pet Centre. He realised he really likes working with animals while he was previously working as a dog walker.
In his spare time, Manish enjoys playing football and participates in tournaments at the district level through Adarsh Football Club. He also loves spending time with his family and pet cat, Tom.
● Yogesh, Kunal, Jiten, Harshida, Sameer, Santosh, Darshan and Rohit are the smiling faces you will see helping you with your pets gentle handling in the clinic. All of them love animals and care for them, and patients feel comfortable with the TLC they receive from them.
● Lalita Solanki
Lalita does the important job of keeping the clinic spotlessly clean. She has been with the clinic since 2007. She makes sure the clinic smells good after a long day and takes great pride in her work.
She is a mother of two lovely daughters and enjoys listening to music to relax.
